Adults may send completed safeguarding-training certificates to cubscoutpack862@gmail.com. Do not email health records, youth health information, or private membership information through the public contact route. Follow the Pack’s private instructions for delivering completed medical records.
Uniforms
Uniform pieces vary by rank. Review the official Cub Scout uniform guidance (external) before shopping. Pack 862 serves:
- Lion — Kindergarten
- Tiger — 1st grade
- Wolf — 2nd grade
- Bear — 3rd grade
- Webelos — 4th grade
- Arrow of Light — 5th grade

Meetings
Pack meetings are held two or three times per month on Fridays from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
The Parent Committee virtually meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Who can join? Can girls join the Pack?
Boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade can join. Pack 862 is a family Pack with grade-based dens.
When and where does the Pack meet?
We meet at Faith United Methodist Church, 2115 W 182nd Street, Torrance, CA 90504. Pack meetings are held two or three times per month on Fridays from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
How much does it cost?
For 2026–2027, the National/Council fee is $170 and Pack dues are $175, for a $345 baseline annual total. Uniforms and some activity fees are additional. Fees are reviewed each season.
What uniform does my Scout need?
Uniform pieces vary by rank. Review the official Cub Scout uniform guidance before shopping, and email the Pack if you have questions.
What activities can we look forward to?
Pack traditions include camping, Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, celebrations, Bridging, and family outings. Calendar dates remain tentative until confirmed.
How do we join and find our Den?
Start with the Join page and Pack 862 youth application. Dens follow grade levels from Lion in Kindergarten through Arrow of Light in 5th grade. Den schedules are shared after registration.
