Costs for 2026–2027

For 2026–2027, the Scouting America National/Council Cub Scout fee is $170 per year, and annual Pack dues are $175 per Scout, due Jan 31, 2027.

The baseline total is $345 per year. Uniforms and some camping, field-trip, or outing fees are additional. These figures apply to the listed season and are reviewed annually.

Payment instructions are provided privately after registration.

A family adventure

Cub Scouting is designed for families. Parents and guardians participate alongside Scouts and help create a welcoming experience.

Becoming a registered volunteer

Help coordinate the event assigned to your Den, support popcorn sales and church fundraisers when needed, or lend a hand at meetings, camping, Pinewood Derby, Bridging, the Holiday Party, and the End of Year Picnic.

1. Complete the Pack 862 adult volunteer application (external).
2. Complete Safeguarding Youth Training (external) annually, following the Pack checklist.
3. Complete the current California / GLAAC compliance requirements (external), including online training, LiveScan, and the Background Consent Form.
4. Follow the Pack’s direction for position-specific training through My.Scouting (external) and the adult leader uniform.

Volunteer expenses

For 2026–2027, the guide lists an annual adult registration fee of $103. The Pack reimburses the annual registration and LiveScan fees for adults taking an active registered volunteer role.
